Book Fair

This week we have been very fortunate to have had a Scholastic Book Fair available for every class to visit throughout the week. Each class was given time to go along to view and purchase books. Parents were invited too and overall everyone seems to have enjoyed it.  Every class ran a ‘book related’ competition where the children had the opportunity to create different book related tasks, such as designing a bookmark/poster/front cover and the winner from each class received a free book of their choice from the Book Fair.  Here are our winners pictured below.

P1/2 Trip to Calderglen Country Park

P1/2 visited Calderglen Country Park in East Kilbride for their school trip on Thursday 19th May.  They had a fantastic time handling various animals and reptiles and learned a lot from their visit.  For a full report of the visit, as well as lots of photographs, please look on the Events Tab of the website.

Another Successful Summer Fair!

On Saturday 21st of May, The Parent Council hosted their annual Summer Fair. The day was a great success, with lots of money being raised for the school and everyone had lots of fun.  We shall post the total amount raised as soon as we can.  For more details about the day, including photos and competition winners, please look at the ‘Parent Council’ section of the website, which is under ‘Parental Information’. Summer Fair

Come along tomorrow to our Summer Fair from 12-3. There will be lots of fantastic games and activities for the children to do, both inside and outside! We have great stalls, competitions, a raffle and much more! Great fun for all the family!

P7 Stationery Shop

P7 are running a business enterprise this term and will be setting up their “Snazzy Shop” stationery shop in the canteen at playtime every week from Tuesday – Friday until the end of term. Their price list is as follows –

Bouncy balls – 25p    Black pencils -20p    Rainbow pencils – 30p

Mechanical pencils – 40p   Stencil rulers – 25p    Stretchy men – 20p

Bracelets – 25p    Necklaces – 40p   Aeroplanes – 20p
