Finance week in nursery

This week the children in nursery will be learning about money.  They will learn to recognise a variety of coins by shape, size and colour and match coins through a range of activities. They will learn where people get money from and what we use money for.  We will talk about how we keep our money safe and use money to purchase items.  The children want to sing ’10 Currant Buns’ and a Treasure Hunts in the sand and water to find and count coins. It would be a massive support if when your child goes to the shops with you that they can help pay for items and receive change.

I will update this page with photos of their experiences throughout this week and next.

Primary 4/5 Class Assembly on the Romans

Primary 4/5 had a great morning performing their Roman assembly for their family, friends and the school.  They enjoyed  demonstrating their drama skills and singing songs about being a good Roman hostess, building a Roman road and being a Roman slave. They also enjoyed teaching everyone some sign language during the ‘Just Like a Roman’ song.
