P1 Transition Healthy Living Event

Today our preschool children had the opportunity to take part in health awareness activities as part of their transition from nursery into Primary 1. This was delivered by the NHS Health Improvement Service and South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture. A healthy buffet lunch was also provided which was enjoyed very much by everyone involved. We would like to thank parents/carers for attending to support this event and their child’s learning. Also, a big thanks to all Health Professionals involved.

Feedback from parents/carers about this activity was all very positive. Some of their comments included:

“Enjoyable and beneficial afternoon. The fitness games for the children went down well. The food was delicious and appreciated – the school and staff go above and beyond and it’s a shame more parents didn’t take the opportunity”

“Fantastic opportunity for my child and I to learn all about healthy living. Great interactive opportunities and guests. Brilliant learning experience and amazing lunch provided”
