Harvest Assembly

On Friday 13th October at 10am, Mr Alex Kelly will be hosting our Harvest Assembly.  Parents are welcome to come along.  Some pupils in P4 will be helping Mr Kelly to do a poetry/drama section and we shall be singing some lovely songs as always!

This year our Charity Forum have chosen to support the Clydesdale Foodbank and we would welcome any donations of the following items which we shall pass on to the foodbank. We are very grateful for the donations already received!

· Tins of food

· Cereal

· Biscuits

· Sugar and salt

· Kitchen rolls and toilet rolls

· Toothbrushes, toothpaste, male and female deodorants.

If you come to the assembly you may even be lucky enough to receive some of the vegetables harvested from our own school garden!

P2/3 learning about Paddington Bear.

We had great fun this afternoon, learning about the life of Paddington Bear and some of the adventures he has been on. We learned about the author – Michael Bond – who wrote all of Paddington’s adventures and were shocked when we found out Paddington used to live in Peru!

untitledPrimary 2/3 are doing the shoebox appeal as their enterprise. We are looking to beat our target from last year and send over 20 shoeboxes this year.

We would greatly appreciate any donations brought into school. We are looking to collect:

  • shoeboxes (empty or wrapped in Christmas paper)
  • toiletries
  • hat, scarf and gloves or other clothing garments
  • toys and/or colouring books
  • stationery
  • sweets with an expiry date of at least March 2018 (no chocolate or crisps)

Any donations would be appreciated and P2/3 are looking forward to packing and wrapping the boxes.

We would love if you could help us beat our target from last year!
