P2/3 brought in teddy bears to celebrate the end of our topic toys and teddy bears. We put up a teepee to have our teddy bears picnic in! We had lots of fun sharing information about our teddy bears and singing some songs. We also made our own split pin bears!
Our Peace Garden is now open! This is a quiet space for pupils who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the playground, where they can chat with their friends, read, use the weaving materials or explore the sensory resources and plants. Many thanks to Mrs Cochrane and her team of Eco helpers who have worked hard to set up this area. Thanks also to Mrs Kerr who donated the beautiful bench. P3/4 and P7 have also created mosaics which will go into the Peace Garden soon, thanks to them for all of their hard work! The School Grounds Forum are currently running a competition for pupils to design an image which we will create using bottle tops and when completed this will go on the fence. Although we still have these few additions to make, I’m sure you will agree that this is a beautiful space for the children to relax in.
Our Harvest Assembly, which will be led by Mr Kelly, is tomorrow (FRIDAY 13th OCTOBER) at 10am. The children will be singing some songs and some children in P4/5 will be helping Mr Kelly to tell us about Harvest. You are most welcome to join us!
We are very grateful for all of the donations of tins, dried food etc which we are collecting to donate to the Clydesdale Food Bank. A representative from the charity will be coming to collect all of the donations tomorrow afternoon and we are sure she will be very pleased with our collection. We are still accepting donations until tomorrow so it is not too late. Many thanks to everyone who has contributed.
