P7 enjoyed making their own Christmas advert today. They watched popular Christmas adverts from previous years and discussed what makes an advert exciting to watch, how viewers are kept interested and if Christmas adverts should have a message or moral. They then went on to plan their own advert stating which brand the advert was for, who the target audience was, where it was set, who the main characters were etc. They then then put together their advert with an opening, build-up, dilemma, resolution and closing. Each group performed it as a Drama to the class while 2 other class members videoed the advert. The children are looking forward to transferring these onto the computer tomorrow and viewing them.
