The children started off this term reading plays in their groups.  We looked at the layout and structures of plays and read and discussed each scene daily as part of our group reading tasks.  We then in small groups wrote our own scripts and then performed them.  The topic was Internet Safety as we have been learning about this.  The groups not only wrote and performed excellent entertaining plays, but the messages they were sending out to their audience were fabulous and invaluable!

Today we started our shape topic.  We had fun revising and testing our prior knowledge by completing an online quiz on the properties of 3D shapes.  Some children then in pairs played the game ‘Who Am I?’ whilst another group were guessing and describing the shapes in the feely bag.

P7 children have been working with the Nursery children to find out information about them and have started work on their nursery rhymes. To help them they were visited by Tony Bonning, a singer/songwriter/author. He was lots of fun!

The children are learning to draw and used all things associated with Robert Burns as a stimuli to learn.  As you can see they are developing excellent drawing skills.

We had fun outside today playing ‘What’s the Time Mr Wolf?’ and making our own clocks using hula hoops.  It was a little tricky as the hands on our clocks kept blowing in the wind but it was good fun.
