Our monthly focus for our wellbeing indicators is “respected”. Today children worked in groups to think what respecting self, respecting others, respecting the environment and respecting property meant to them. They made large mind maps outdoors, defining each and giving examples. They then created a Drama scene based on one of these.
Some examples were: use recyclable packaging, stop hunting for fun, respect public toilets.
Some examples were: don’t graffiti, ask permission to borrow others’ property, don’t damage, steal or throw property.
Some examples were: take responsibility for your actions, obey the law, be positive, work hard and believe in yourself.
Some examples were: don’t make fun of people’s insecurities, don’t bully or say unkind words, be nice to friends, family, teachers and those around you.
