Welcome back!

Welcome back!  It has been good to welcome the children back to school and to hear all about their holidays.  We would also like to extend a welcome to our new Primary 1 children and the children who have joined us in other classes.  It has been a very busy start to the new term already with staff working hard to ensure all of our children are settling well into their new classes.  Staff are also making plans for the  year ahead in order to ensure our children are not only receiving an appropriate education but are also able to enjoy a range of interesting and exciting learning experiences to complement class lessons.

Staff are already thinking about the types of lunchtime and after school clubs that they would like to run for the children.  Mrs Alexander has started a lunchtime club for the children to make bottle tops into attractive pieces of art to brighten up the playground.  It is also good to have Daniel Millar back again.  Daniel is running a multisports lunchtime club for P2/3 and an afterschool football club for P6/7.  The children taking part seem to be enjoying the clubs.

We look forward to the year ahead and to working in partnership with parents/carers to ensure the most positive learning experience for your child.
