Each month the school focus on a different health and wellbeing indicator. The indicator for August and September has been ‘respected’. In class we have been discussing what respect means and how we can be respectful of others. We created our class charter at the start of term to show how we can show respect in school. We also discussed ways of showing respect for people in the community and noted down our ideas in our class health and wellbeing indicator book, which is on display in our classroom. The children have been playing board games together which focus on respect and listening to others.
Over the last few weeks we have been very busy in the nursery learning lots of different nursery rhymes. We have been using story maps where we can follow the picture clues to help us remember. Here are some below. See if you can practise them at home.
Enjoy having fun with these Nursery Rhymes. Click on the link below for a full written copy of some rhymes to learn.

Primary 6 had such an amazing day at the science festival in Biggar.
Our day began with a show all about forces and gases.
We then had a workshop with SEPA, where we looked at river water samples to find living things in it. We also looked at where we live on a map and identified some of the features.
After that, we watched a film all about the health of our local rivers, pollution and climate change.
Our next activity was all about gases and fuels around us. We had to roll a dice and see how many times we went back into the air.
Our last activity was delivered by The Scottish Wildlife Trust. We learned all about owls. We got to investigate real owl pellets to identify what kind of owl it was from and also what they had eaten! We found things like bones, skulls and tails!
