We have been talking about fireworks in class and during ICT we used colour magic to create our own firework pictures.

At numeracy time  we have been learning about repeating patterns and shapes. We have used different materials and colours to make repeating patterns. We learned how to recognise a square, circle, rectangle and triangle. We then had a chance to play shape suduko, make circles with gem stones and used different shapes to make rockets.

The children in P3/4 were designing and creating games from magnets today.  They had to decide as a group on many things e.g. rules, how many players, how you could win the game, etc.

“I thought it was amazing because I made a game and the person who didn’t get the most magnets lost.” Damien

“I think the games were creative because you got to build stuff and make different things with magnets and everyone’s games were different.” Catherine

“I thought Damien’s game was the best because it was really fun as you tried to get the most magnets piled on top of each other.” Abbie

“I think everybody’s games were creative because they had their own rules and they were all fun to play.” Jack

Primary 2, 3 and 4 enjoyed a joint Halloween party last week. We played lots of games and enjoyed making pumpkin crafts, decorating spooky biscuits and dunking for apples. There were lots of amazing costumes!!

Primary 3/4 enjoyed making their own treasure chests during art. We made these using egg boxes, paint and lots and lots of glitter…we don’t think the cleaners were happy with us!! The children are looking forward to using these as a writing stimulus this week.

Cole, Maisie, Abbie and Stacey also helped Miss Brown paint the pirate Ship.
