Let’s go Camping!

After our busy morning puddle jumping the children suggested that we go camping. So off we set with our pop up tent and some tasty treats! It was all so very exciting! The children had a fantastic time and couldn’t wait to tell everyone about it when we got back to nursery.

Puddle Jumping!

Today was a rainy day so we put on our waterproofs and went for a puddle jumping walk. We walked all around the school playground looking for the biggest and deepest puddles to jump in or over. At each puddle we came to we decided whether we would jump over it or just splash right in! We had so much fun becoming puddle jumping experts!

P4/5 Maths

This week the circles are working on multiplication. We have been working hard on our times tables and have been showing our understanding of the calculations by drawing it out, using Numicon and writing word problems.

P4/5 Book Week Activities

A Story a Day

This week we will be reading a ‘story a day’ together to celebrate Book Week Scotland. To start off book week we spoke about how books can teach us a lot and most books have a message in them. We then read a book called ‘Rosie Revere Engineer’ and discussed what we thought the book was trying to tell us. The book is about resilience and determination and the children could confidently explain that the message in the book was to never give up and to believe in yourself.

We also enjoyed buddy reading with p2/3 yesterday. The children worked in pairs or groups of 3 and read their books to each other.
