P7 Target Setting in Gymnastics

The children in Primary 7 were setting themselves targets to develop their skills in gymnastics today.

“Sometimes if you are scared to do something and you are encouraged to at least try it I found it wasn’t as scary as I initially thought. I achieved a forward roll off the horse which I was scared to do before.” Iona

“When you have help it’s a lot easier to do. My friends helped me do a headstand which I was scared to do on my own.” Rhiannan

“I did a headstand with the help of my friends and I felt good for doing it because I was absolutely terrified to do it.” Eilidh

“My friends encouraged me to do the cartwheel off the horse which I really scared to do.” Beth

“I did a forward flip off the springboard.  It was good to have my friends supporting me.” Connor

“I couldn’t do a bridge before but I practised it and moved my hands about and I actually found it quite easy after I did it for the first time.” Antony

“I didn’t know how to do a headstand last week as I kept falling over.  I persevered this week and did it.” Natalie
