P4/5, 5/6 and 6/7 Escape Room!

On the first week of term, Primary 4/5, 5/6 and 6/7 completed a problem solving escape room. The aim of the escape room was to complete a puzzle in our teams and find a letter which created a code to unlock the padlocks.

We had to work well in our teams as well as use all our maths strategies to solve the puzzle and escape from Miss Reid’s room!

P6/7 Maths

P6/7 have been working really hard in maths this term. We have been learning about place value, estimating and rounding and have now moved onto addition and subtraction! We have been enjoying challenging problem solving tasks each week too and have shown confidence explaining our thinking and sharing our solutions!

Flu immunisation forms

Flu immunisation forms should be returned to school by Wednesday 18th September at the lastest to ensure your child is given the immunisation.  If you do not have a form but would like your child immunised please contact the school office.

Pre-loved Uniform

Many thanks to all of the parents who very kindly donated uniform that was no longer of use to their children.  There was a great response.  As a society we send a lot of clothing to landfill annually so it’s good to be able to reuse school uniform and save some of the waste as well as some money.
We have set up a pre-loved uniform area in a quiet spot in school and have polo shirts, sweatshirts, trousers, skirts, dresses and shorts in various sizes.  Please pop in to have a look if your child needs something.  The ladies in the office will point you in the right direction.  You are free to take what you need and there are carrier bags available.  Please leave the coathangers though so that we can re-use them.  If you would like to make a donation for school funds you are welcome to do so but there is no need to do this.
If you have clothing you would like to donate please feel free to hand it in to the office at any time throughout the year and we will add it to our stock.
Many thanks
