P3/4 Yoga

Primary 3/4 have enjoyed getting back in to the new term by doing some relaxing yoga during P.E to ease us into our Gymnastics block. Here are just some of the amazing positions, stretches and balances we are able to do!

P7 STEM Day

Primary 7 enjoyed their first transition day to Biggar High School today! It was a STEM themed day and they had a great time carrying out science experiments, maths/problem solving challenges and design challenges in groups with primary 7s from other schools.

P5/6 and P6/7 Scotland Topic

Yesterday the children worked together to research some Scottish animals and create ‘WANTED’ posters for them. They had to describe their habitats and characteristics and create a reward for the person who finds the animal. Some groups challenged themselves by including some Scottish describing words, for example muckle, tottie, wee, een, neb, bonnie etc. They then presented their work to the rest of the class.

After that everyone had great fun in drama. The groups were tasked with acting out the story of ‘Little Charlie’ (our model text for Talk for Writing) and changing the ending. Everyone worked really well together and the performances were great!
