We aim to help families on low incomes who are under intense financial pressure due to the coronavirus crisis and are struggling.
OPFS Coronavirus Emergency Energy Fund can provide a one-off payment of £50 to single parent families in Scotland who need help with their energy bills (e.g. gas/electricity).
Applications must be endorsed and submitted by a sponsor, acting in their professional capacity. Examples of eligible sponsors include social workers, housing officers, health care professionals, teachers, clergy and third sector organisations.
If you do not have a sponsor, please contact us by phone 0131 556 3899 or email energygrants@opfs.org.uk with your contact details. A member of OPFS staff will contact you to check eligibility and assist you further.
For the purposes of this fund, a single parent/carer/kinship carer is defined as one adult living with at least one child under the age of 25.
If you are not sure you meet the criteria, please contact us on 0131 556 3899 or email.
We will respond to your competed application as quickly as we can. This may take up to 5 working days. We anticipate very high levels of demand, and appreciate your patience and understanding.
