Earlier this year I applied for Lottery funding to help us develop our school grounds. I am delighted to let you know that this has been successful. We were awarded £8775 and will have to contribute a further £2925 ourselves in or-der to fulfil the award requirements.

This will allow us to carry out developments to improve our school grounds in order to encourage more wildlife into the playground and to increase biodiversity. It will also allow us to offer a more varied learning and play area for all of our children.

Our plans are to develop:

*an orchard with apple and plum trees

*a mud kitchen

*a seating area with storytelling chair

*a woodland area with fire pit

*a quiet, sensory garden

*wildlife habitats

*a small pond

*loose parts play
