p4/5 The Titanic sets sail once more…

Primary 4/5 children will learn all about the Titanic this term.  Already, they have compiled a list of questions they would like answered about it and have started researching facts online.  This week they have also started to imagine what it would be like to be inside the Titanic looking out of a porthole and seeing the iceberg come towards them.  They have painted this scene and will finish their porthole next week.  We had fun mixing colours e.g. using black to make our blue colours darker and white to make them lighter.  They were also challenged to make the sea look choppy.

If you have any books or resources on the Titanic please feel free to hand these in to support our children’s learning.  It’s great to see some children visiting the library and sharing the books with the class.  Some children are doing personal projects in their own time at home.  One of our children even had a dream about the Titanic wreck at the bottom of the ocean.  We are all really excited!!
