P7 started their Food Technology today. They learned about the different kinds of bread and used ICT to research where they are from. They were then given a STEM challenge and had to work in groups to make boats using tin foil only. The boats were put in water and children had to add pennies to see how many they could hold. They evaluated their design and made a second boat with any changes they wanted to make. One boat was so good it held all the pennies, extra money from Miss Stewart’s purse, a lunch tub and tubs from the class!
