Primary 5-6 over the last couple of weeks have been developing their skills in gymnastics. They have been developing balancing, rotation, jumping and movements which require weight on their arms and putting all of these movements into sequences in the form of matching and mirroring. They have been performing them to the rest of the class.
Next week we will be giving constructive feedback to their peers in written form.
“I liked doing the cartwheels and bridges with my partner.” Taylor
“I enjoy making up our own movements and sequences.” Eve
“I found the mirroring quite hard because you had to do exactly the same but to imagine a mirror between us. We found this tricky.” Ellie
“I found it hard to think up a way to do the mirroring instead of just matching.” Kelsey-Rikki
“I found it tricky to do the sequences with your partner and to do the balance together.” Bailey
“The mirroring was hard because you had to do the exact same move but in the opposite way which was hard to think about.” Ruaridh
