Today the children were setting themselves challenges. They were trying things they felt they either couldn’t do or could do better.
“I felt my balancing wasn’t that good but today I felt I was doing a lot better walking and balancing on the bench. I also managed to jump from the springboard and land on my feet. I want to practise landing better on both feet after jumps.” Charley
“I managed to do a headstand unsupported by the wall for a few seconds today. I also a few weeks ago couldn’t do the split jump and today I did it! I want to do a better backward roll by going over my shoulder rather than my neck.” Holly
” I managed to face my fears and go onto the horse and jump from it. I also managed to do a handstand into a forward roll. I want to get better at my handstands.” Emma
“I improved my backward roll today. I want to be better at my helicopter full turn spin off the horse and my backward roll.” Julia
“I couldn’t do a bridge unsupported before but today I did. My balancing didn’t used to be that good now I feel I’m good. I’m going to challenge myself to a headstand next. I also want to get better at jumping on the springboard.” Rory
“I can now do a handstand in the air for a few seconds. I want to get better at my pike jump.” Ryan
“Now I can do a back bridge because I used to not be able to do it.” James
“I managed to do a forward roll on the horse.” Katie
“I improved my headstands. I used to not be able to do them and now I can. I’m going to try and do them without the support of the wall the next time.” Finlay
“I would like to practise my cartwheels next week.” Sophie B
