This term primary 7 are learning about chemical reactions. Over the last few weeks the children have investigated the differences between chemical and physical changes and carried out various experiments. This week we discussed the different stages of a scientific experiment and came up with our own hypothesis for our investigation. The children then worked in groups to explore what would happen when bicarbonate of soda and vinegar were mixed inside a bottle and a balloon was placed on top. The results showed us that the mixture produced a gas which then filled the balloon!
