Lockerbie Manor Day 3

After our very busy day yesterday, everyone was asleep by 10.30pm! So we all felt refreshed and ready for our breakfast and morning activities. Gp 15 created their own advert and then scripted and filmed a movie during Video Making. They were a creative bunch! Meanwhile Gp 16 were learning how to do fencing. They were quick to learn this new skill and everyone was excited to take part in duals. Next, we joined together to take part in a fast paced and competitive Scavenger Hunt, which saw the children running around the grounds of the Manor to find the answers to puzzles. After this energetic session, everyone was ready for their lunch, which was a choice of pizza or  BBQ chicken wings with wedges and beans or salad.

After lunch, Gp 16 turned their creative juices to Video Making while Gp 15 tackled the Zip Wire. Next, Gp 16 went to the Zip Wire while Gp 15 went to the Blind Trail. We are so proud of the children in both groups as every single child managed to conquer their fears and complete the Zip Wire, which is very high and requires the children to abseil from the end! Yet again, both groups have been praised by the instructors for their excellent listening skills and mature attitudes. We are so proud of the way the children have been supporting and encouraging each other.

Tonights evening meal was a choice of roast turkey, ham or vegan sausages with roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and vegetables, followed by ice cream.

We finished the day with a fun filled disco with plenty of dancing, games and fun!
