Lockerbie Manor Day 4

We have had a fantastic day today and can’t quite believe that this is our final night! We started the day on the pond doing canoeing and kayaking. We had a fabulous time getting wet and playing games in the water.

Lunch was a choice of chorizo pasta, tomato and basil pasta or backed potato with chicken curry or beans. After lunch Gp 15 went to fencing while Gp 16 had fun on the Low Ropes course. Next was High Ropes for Gp 15 and yet again, everyone attempted this, despite it being a very high and challenging course. We are very proud of their efforts. Gp 16 were at Archery at this point and the instructor was very impressed with their ability to hit the target, despite being beginners!

Dinner was a choice of chicken or vegetable casserole or mince and dumplings with sautéed potatoes, green beans and sweetcorn , followed by a huge milk chocolate cookie. We have really enjoyed the food at Lockerbie! After dinner Group 15 took part in the obstacle course. They loved climbing the giant M frame, scrambling over a cargo net to get over the river and enjoyed the other 11 parts of the course! We were immensely proud of Gp 16 as every single child managed to climb at least half of the climbing wall, with several of them reaching the top. We finished our evening with hot chocolate and some biscuits in the games room.
