I have been asked to pass on this information which may be particularly relevant to those who have children with an ASD diagnosis.
Here are five free webinars from Children in Scotland for parent carers of children and young people with additional support needs. These webinars have been developed by leading trainers and represent a great opportunity to benefit from evidence based interventions. As you’ll see from the list – the topics covered address many of the concerns you have shared with ARCH over the past weeks, especially anxieties relating to return to school and creation of positive routines at home. I also wanted you all to know that today was a particularly proud one for the South Lanarkshire Autism community when one of our young autistic people; Marco Fallone was allowed to raise the autism pride flag outside South Lanarkshire HQ. This represents the first time our autism community has been symbolically acknowledged, and mirrors the same flag being flown outside the Scottish Government HQ in Edinburgh. It is my intention to ensure the flag will be flown next year during autism awareness week as well as autism pride day.
