Primary 1 have been exploring different materials that objects are made from and talking about and comparing the textures of these different materials.  They were sorting these materials into different groups e.g. rough and smooth, hard and soft, etc.

We also investigated which materials could float and which would sink.

The lesson finished with a quiz and the children did fantastic!

Primary 4 have been learning to classify natural and man made materials.  They also learned about the different uses of these materials e.g. the various uses of stone.

Primary 5 have been learning about the Earth’s materials and the layers that make up our earth.  They made a model of the inside of our Earth and labelled it.
