What a fantastic day of end of term celebrations! Goodbye and good luck to all our wonderful P7 children! Everyone at Carnwath will miss you all lots.

P1/2 had fun exploring symmetry today. They used Numicon to make symmetrical pictures, played symmetry sorting games and created some amazing art work!

We have had a busy start to term 4 and everyone in P6/7 has been working hard! We have started our new topic on the Olympics and have been learning about the differences between the Ancient and Modern Olympics, important symbols including the rings and the torch and have been discussing the advantages and disadvantages of becoming a host city. We have also been working hard on designing stamps to symbolise our heroes of the Corona virus pandemic as part of a Royal Mail competition. Here are some of our designs:

Also, thank you to Mhairi from Active Schools who has been coming in on Wednesday afternoons to teach us netball! We have been enjoying learning new skills.

P5/6 started their new topic on World War 2 and to introduce the topic they created Spitfires out of loose parts.

We have two lucky winners in P1/2 who each won an Easter egg kindly donated by the State Hospital. They made beautifully decorated Easter baskets – well done!
