P4/5 have had a busy afternoon planning holidays to the Caribbean. They used travel websites to research holidays to places such as Antigua, Barbados and Jamaica. They had a £5000 budget and had to consider the number of children and adults going, where they were departing from and what dates they would be away. They also had to compare holidays taking into consideration board basis and features such as children’s club, entertainment etc.
P4/5 learned some Caribbean style moves today such as salsa dancing and then worked in partners to create their own dance routines. Their moves were very impressive!
P4/5 have been learning about the Caribbean. They located the islands and mapped them using ICT. They also made 3D pictures of the flags. This week, they made floral garlands and were pirates on a treasure hunt outdoors. To do this they had to draw a map of the school playground then hide treasure for a partner to find.
