P7 learned about the city of Tenochtitlan which was created by the Aztecs. They learned about the difficulties faced by the Aztecs and how they overcame these before going outside to create their own version of the city using loose parts. Children had to work with the success criteria to ensure they had all the relevant features eg Lake Texcoco, a central square, 3 causeways, chinampas etc.
