P1 were learning about the benefits of massage as part of our Health and Wellbeing work this afternoon. They really enjoyed learning the techniques and both giving and receiving a massage from their partner.

P5/6 Investigating the benefits of yeast

As part of our Micro-organisms science topic the children have been learning that some micro-organisms can be good and bad for us and one of these is yeast.  We decided to investigate the benefits of yeast which is the help bread rise.  The children set up a fair test and they did this by preparing a bread mixture with yeast and one without to see the effects.

P2/3 Science – Inheritance

Primary 2/3 children have been learning about inheritance.  We looked at photographs of ourselves with our families and talked about some of the traits/characteristics that we have inherited from our parents and grandparents. We also talked about some things that we don’t inherit however which may be similar to our parents but this is due to other factors.

The children demonstrated their understanding through different activities.  They are very proud of their Mr Men and Little Miss children which inherited traits from their parents.
