Interhouse Netball

On Tuesday 13th June P5-P7 pupils took part in an Interhouse Netball Competition. The children had a super morning, working well within their teams and cheering each other on.

The results are as follows –

Langwhang V Medwyn = 1 – 3

Somerville V Couthally = 0 – 8

Langwhang V Somerville = 1 – 8

Medwyn V Couthally = 1 – 10

Langwhang – 4^th

Somerville – 3^rd

Medwyn – 2^nd

Couthally – 1^st

Interhouse Hockey

Our P5-P7 pupils competed in an Interhouse Hockey event on 13th June.

They all played very well together, demonstrating excellent teamwork and good sportsmanship. The results were as follows –

Langwhang V Couthally = 3 – 6

Somerville V Medwyn = 2 – 1

Langwhang V Medwyn = 1 – 2

Couthally V Somerville = 1 – 3

P4/5 Enterprise Art Café

We really enjoyed creating an Art Gallery for the Everygreens Group to come and visit. We worked hard on creating pieces of art. We studied famous artists and tried to replicate their work. Some of our art was focusing on tone and colour and they were created by us. We also created some roman mosaics by cutting up small bits of paper and arranging them together into a design.

We baked cakes and made sandwiches for the ladies who came to visit and served them tea and coffee after we preformed some songs for them.

We really enjoyed our Art Café Enterprise and enjoyed meeting the ladies from the Everygreens.

Primary 4/5 showed the Nursery their Wormery

We felt really good showing the nursery our wormery. We let them hold a worm if they wanted to and we called one of them “Fast” because it was moving everywhere (Stuart). We taught them that once the worms have ate the food it would come out as compost. The boys and girls really enjoyed seeing the worms because it is not every day you get to see and hold a worm.

Primary 4-7 Tree Planting

Primary 4-7 had a great afternoon with Mr Waters planting new trees. We learnt how to correctly plant a baby tree as well as how to correctly put a plastic spiral around them. We need to keep these plastic spirals on them to protect them from animals eating them and to make them more noticeable in the playground.
