Primary 4/5’s Forest Visit

The children enjoyed their second forest visit this year.  They have been learning all about poetry and have been writing their own poems in class.  Today they were learning about Haiku Poems and created their own in class about winter.  Fabulous work!!  Today, the children had fun creating their own Haiku’s in the forest, about the forest.  The children also played games of their choice to keep warm and in groups they also completed some outdoor maths challenges.

P4/5 Entertaining The Evergreens

Primary 4/5 invited The Evergreens for a personal showing of their Titanic assembly.  The children then joined The Evergreens in class with refreshments afterwards.  It was great to see the children mingle with the ladies and chat to them about what they were learning in school.

Dance Club – Memorial Hall Dance Festival (P4-7)

What another successful dance performance from our children at Carnwath Primary School.  The children in the dance club worked so hard sometimes rehearsing twice a week leading up to the show at the Memorial Hall.  The children choreographed the dance with just a little support offered to bring it all together.  So a huge well done children!!  I think everyone would agree the children had an excellent time.

P4/5’s Assembly – The Titanic

Primary 4/5 had a ball performing in front of the school.  They have been learning all about the Titanic and used lots of facts they learned in the script.  Every child had a part to perform and what amazing actors we have.  The children’s costumes were fantastic and a huge thanks to their families who helped out with these.  Thank you to Primary 6 who watched their dress rehearsal and gave constructive feedback before their actual performance.  A massive thanks from me to the children in Primary 4/5 for their commitment and positive behaviour throughout rehearsals and their performances.
