p2 Science

Primary 2 are investigating forces this term during science. The children have been working hard to find examples of pushing and pulling forces around the school and exploring toys which work through pushing and pulling. This week p2 were learning about up-thrust using a balloon in water and gravity through free falling objects. The children have also enjoyed playing ‘Squeeze and Squash’ using the plasticine to investigate the effects of different forces.

P1/2 Shape Investigation

We have been very busy learning about different 2D and 3D shapes in P1/2.  We carried out an investigation to see if they roll or stack and then sorted them into separate groups.  We have also been exploring the different properties of the shapes by counting how many edges, how many sides and how many corners (vertices) they have.  This is tricky work but we are up for the challenge!IMG_6737 IMG_6960 IMG_6735 IMG_6958 IMG_6966 IMG_6967 IMG_6963 IMG_6957
