During Literacy today P7 looked at developing a balanced argument. They identified reasons why people should protect the rainforest and reasons why people should be allowed to use the resources of the rainforest. This was then put into context when they were told a story about 2 men called Charlie and Elias. Charlie owned 100 acres of the Amazon rainforest in Peru and Elias lived in this part of the rainforest. Children had to decide whether Charlie should evict Elias or let him stay. They chose a stance and debated this.
