Reminder – Nursery trip to ‘Pets At Home’ – tomorrow!

We are very excited about our trip to ‘Pets At Home’ tomorrow and are looking forward to learning lots more about Pets! The bus will be leaving at 9.15am tomorrow morning, so it would be great if everyone could be at Nursery for 9 o’clock. This is a great opportunity for children from both morning and afternoon classes to come together for the trip tomorrow. Please remember there will be no afternoon nursery class on as the afternoon class are joining the morning class for the trip.

P6/7 Forest Visit

P6/7 planned their own visit to the woods. They worked in teams thinking about the different curricular areas and looking at the outcomes and experiences for Second Level. They then planned activities for each of the curricular areas. We had a lovely sunny afternoon down at the woods and particularly enjoyed the maths code challenge devised by the team covering Numeracy and Mathematics. Well done P6/7.

P3/4 Forest Visit

P3/4 visited the woods on the 13th of September as part of their work on Scottish Wildlife. They were looking for evidence of animals which might live in the woods. They found pine-cones which squirrels had nibbled, animal tracks and poo! They also found lots of spider webs! They spotted many different minibeasts. Our visit helped us to understand that wild places are good habitats for living things.
