The nursery children really enjoyed the visit from the SSPCA today. They learned lots about looking after animals in our environment.

Our nursery children wanted to make colourful parrots as they have been learning about birds in our Pets and Vets topic. They used a range of different materials to create their own parrots. We talked about colours and colour mixing.
The nursery children made bird food last week and fed it to the birds in the school garden but when we were feeding them they decided they wanted to make their own bird feeders. So we made these today from paper cups left over from our parties. We then made bird food to go in them and put them in our bird feeders.
Aaron’s Mum and Dad were kind enough to bring in their dogs to show the children in the afternoon nursery as part of their Pets and Vets topic.
Please remember that our parental consultations are tonight! All appointments are between 3.30 and 9.00pm and you will have the chance to talk to your child’s teacher(s) and view their work. Pupils are very welcome to come along and be a part of the discussion about their learning. We look forward to seeing you soon!
