Sports Day

Sports Day was a great success. It was a beautiful, sunny day and all of the children had great fun.  In teams, they each took part in 8 different potted sports activities including egg and spoon race, sack race, discus and even the ice cream race!  Each team earned points which were added together and the winning team overall was Couthally.  Next we had a relay race for our senior pupils and Medwyn won this trophy.  Each class participated in races and we even had family and friends joining us for an adults beanbag race, which was great fun.  We finished with a tug of war competition which Somerville won. All of the trophies will be awarded to the house captains on the final assembly of the year on Tuesday 27th June.

Well done to everyone who took part and thank you very much to everyone who was involved in making Sports Day a great success!

P1 Transition Healthy Living Event

Today our preschool children had the opportunity to take part in health awareness activities as part of their transition from nursery into Primary 1. This was delivered by the NHS Health Improvement Service and South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture. A healthy buffet lunch was also provided which was enjoyed very much by everyone involved. We would like to thank parents/carers for attending to support this event and their child’s learning. Also, a big thanks to all Health Professionals involved.
