The children in p4/5 learned a little about James Rizzi and discussed and described his artwork. He lived in New York and was famous for drawing and painting Rizzi Happy Houses. The children are creating their own New York skyline and today they began with drawing their very own Rizzi inspired happy house. They will be painted this week and displayed.
The children have been learning about the Diwali the Hindu festival of lights and the important messages. They enjoyed making Kandil Lanterns and making some Rangoli art pieces.
The children are learning about famous people. They will learn about famous artists as well as famous people of their choice, developing ICT and research skills.
Today they did just that in ICT. With their partners they chose who they wanted to find out about, download a photo and find some facts about that person. They saved this onto a document and printed them. They will present their information to the class and display these in the classroom.
Primary 6 wrote their very own books for P3/4. They worked hard to create imaginative stories, a blurb and a front cover. They read these to the P3/4 children today.
Primary 6 and 7 had a mock parliament debate about zoos.
