P4/5 Minibeast Homework (John Muir Award)

Primary 4/5 have been having fun at home completing their homework tasks weekly on Minibeast Hunts.  They were given a range of activities to do, encouraging them to explore the wildlife in our local environment and to appreciate it’s beauty.

Some of the children turned this into a mini topic and have spent many days and hours outdoors with their families and have been collecting photographs of their adventures and explorations.  They have had a wonderful time doing so and I must say have put in so much effort and enthusiasm. I’m very proud of them all! Thank you to all the parents and grandparents and siblings who also supported the children.

P4/5 Quiet Reading Time

Primary 4/5 have really enjoyed having time at the library this term to read in silence.  Sometimes we have shared our likes and dislikes of books we are reading which has helped those children who were unsure of what to read next.  The children have been updating their Reading Passports throughout the year and have really enjoyed reading different genre to what their usual preferences are.
