Our JRSO (Junior Road Safety Officers) have been selected by their peers in Primary 6 and we look forward to learning lots about Road Safety from them. They will have the responsibility for the upkeep of a display board and will be organising an assembly as well as running Road Safety competitions throughout the year.

Forest Group – Week 1
On Tuesday, Mrs Alexander and Mrs Shearer went to the forest with a group of children. They walked to the woods and planned some activities for the following weeks visit. They then returned to school and cooked marshmallows and made s’mores on the fire and also boiled the Kelly Kettle to make hot chocolate. They planned which food they would like to cook in the following weeks. They finished with some relaxing yoga, making the yoga moves fit the story of ‘The Inquisitive Fox’.
The children will be visiting the forest and the school grounds on alternate weeks, with next Wednesday being the forest week.
A great time was had by all!
P6/7 Art
This term we are learning about perspective in art and exploring techniques to include it in our drawings. We looked at different photographs and were able to identify perspective in each and created our own aquarium one point perspective drawings. Everyone worked really hard on this task and the children were very proud of their finished pieces!
Fantastic artwork (more pictures to follow when finished):
