P1/2 Hallowe’en Fun!
Happy Halloween from the Yellow Group!
We have been very busy celebrating Halloween this week. When we were outside we collected sticks to create our own magic wands. We read the story ‘Pumpkin Soup’ and carved our own pumpkin. The children helped to scoop out all the seeds and then went on to pretend to make their very own pumpkin soup, yum! The children are really enjoying dressing up today and are very much looking forward to their special Halloween snacks later.
Nursery Yellow Group – Potions and Broomsticks
This week we have had lots of fun exploring all things Hallowe’en. We took lots of pots and pans up to the mud kitchen and made some fabulous potions by mixing in leaves and bark. I’m just glad none of their spells worked or I would’ve been a frog for a long time! Next some of the children decided to recreate the story ‘Room on the Broom’ that we had been reading by using canes from the garden as broomsticks. What great imaginations. Look at how they were investigating with light and dark using our Hallowe’en torches too.
