Scottish Celebration 27th January 2017

We shall be hosting our annual Scottish Celebration on the afternoon of Friday 27th January 2017 at 1.15pm in the gym hall. Every class will be on stage showcasing some of their learning about Scotland. Throughout the month of January the whole school and nursery have a focus on Scotland and at the end of the month we celebrate Rabbie Burns’ birthday with our Scottish Celebration, where you can expect to hear lots of singing, poetry and learn more about Scotland. You are very welcome to join us in this celebration!

Peavers

We are learning to count and recognise our number through playing Peavers in the nursery. Peavers is the same as Hopscotch.

Edinburgh Castle

We were learning about Edinburgh Castle in the nursery. We watched a video clip where Barnaby Bear visits Edinburgh and the Castle. We then wanted to draw pictures of Edinburgh castle. Our castle had to have a turret with a Scottish flag on it. Then some of us decided to build the castle outside and afterwards we made a balancing beam to practise our balancing.
