P4/5 Maths
P4/5 have been learning about symmetry this week in maths. The children have been working together to create symmetrical patterns with Numicon and other materials.
Primary 1 – counting to 20
The children are still working on counting to 20 and enjoyed using different materials to show what they had learned.
Primary 1 – Parent Council Sponsored bounce and obstacle course
Today Primary 1 had great fun at the sponsored bounce and obstacle course organised by the Parent Council. They had 7 stations to go round and had 5 minutes on each station.
John Muir Award (7)
Today p4/5 visited the forest as part of their John Muir Award. We had a great afternoon exploring and discovering the natural materials around us. Our first activity was making creatures using the salt-free dough we made yesterday and materials we found around the forest. Although the dough was sticky to start with we had a great time creating our characters! We then worked in pairs to make wind chimes using sticks, string and natural materials. Thank you so much to our helpers who came with us!
