Citizens of the week for 2nd – 6th November are as follows –

Nursery – Junior Murtagh for being a responsible citizen

Primary 1/2 – Daisy Graham for focusing carefully on her tasks and completing them well

Primary 2/3 – Harrison Hebbes for being enthusiastic, keen to answer questions and working hard

Primary 3/4/5 – Sophia McFarlane for being a successful learner and always working hard

Primary 5/6 – Nathan Hartland for being a responsible citizen

Primary 6/7 – Jamie-Leigh Wallace for super maths working and showing confidence explaining her strategies

Nursery Yellow Group – 2D Space Rockets

The children have continued to show an interest in the sky at night and space this week. We discussed how astronauts get into space and this led us to create ‘Space Rocket’ pictures using sticky 2D shapes. This allowed the children to become more familiar with common 2D shape names such as rectangle, square and triangle, as well as some more tricky ones, such as semi-circle, pentagon and hexagon!
