P4/5 John Muir Award (3)

Today for our John Muir award we carried out activities to conserve the playground. Firstly we carried out a litter pick around the school grounds, we were shocked just how much litter we found! We also put the bug hotel back together as parts had fallen out. We then worked in small groups to plant some wild seeds at the top of the playground.

P5/6 Sponsored Walk

We spent most of Friday walking around the village to raise money for Orangutan Appeal UK. We walked approximately 3-4 miles in total. We had a rest at the parks too. Despite some sore feet and the heat, we managed to complete our walk. We don’t have a final total raised as yet, as we still have some money to collect, but we know that it over £200! We are so happy to support this worthwhile cause, and will be writing to the charity this week to share our experiences. Thank you to everyone who supported us!
